About
Better prices, by popular demand.
Popular Demand is an online platform that groups people’s future purchases so sellers can quote a group price. It is not the seller, and payments are in test mode.
What Popular Demand is
Popular Demand is an online platform for purchases that can wait. A person, or the AI agent they already use, saves a Request: what they would buy later, where it should be delivered, and optionally the most they would pay. Saving is free, private and binds nobody to anything.
Popular Demand groups compatible Requests and asks sellers for one group price, with a minimum number of buyers and a deadline. Each person gets an exact, all-in Offer for their address. Their agent checks it against what they asked for, and the person decides. If enough people commit by the deadline, every hold is charged the same price; if too few do, every hold is released and nobody pays.
We are not the seller
Popular Demand is not a store and never sells the product. The seller is the merchant of record: a person commits by placing a card hold in checkout on the seller’s own Stripe account, and the seller ships the order. Popular Demand never holds the money. It takes 2% of each completed order from the seller’s side, already inside the price; nothing is added on top.
Sellers see combined, anonymous demand: how many people and units, in which states, and by when. They never see a person’s name, their words or their price limit before that person enters checkout.
Where we are today
Popular Demand is in a test phase, starting in the United States. Payments run in test mode: no real card is charged and no real money moves. In test mode a hold is authorized on a Stripe test card and never charges real money. Agents can connect over MCP, the REST API or email, and people can also use this site directly.
